I’m excited to share my latest painting, Luminous Drift of the Sea. It’s a 20 by 16-inch oil on linen that features a nude figure draped with a simple white cloth, sitting with a quiet kind of grace. I had fun mixing a classical figure with a background that’s anything but traditional—think warm golden yellows dancing with cool blues in loose, abstract swirls. It’s like the figure is gently floating between two worlds, soft and warm but alive with movement. This one was inspired by the timeless beauty of classical figure art, but I wanted to give it a fresh twist with a contemporary feel. I hope it invites you to linger and get lost in the colors and textures, just like I did while painting it.
