SOLD-Sailing into the Red, acrylic print on metal, 18" x 24" was inspired by the expression "red sky at night sailors' delight." The roots come from (Matthew 16:2-3) " When its evening, ye say, fair weather for the heaven is red.

SOLD- Somewhere out there, oil on canvas, 24" x 18" was inspired by my search for eternal truth in the roar and silence of the sea.

SOLD-Day meets Night, oil on canvas, 24" x 20" was inspired by my obsession with the intersection of the sky and sea especially during the transition between day and night- twilight time.

SOLD- Seeking Serenity, oil on canvas, 30" x 24" by Kathy Corey was inspired by my fascination with mermaids. I wondered, what does a mermaid do when she is stressed. Oh course, she listens to the ocean through her conch shell.

SOLD-Sailing the Mississippi, Portage Island, oil on canvas, 20" x 16". It is thrilling to watch the sailors on the great river dodging the barges, ferries, speedboats and yachts. It was the perfect windy day for sailing.

Someday..., 24" x 24" oil on canvas, was inspired by the longing for clear blue skies, a floppy hat, and a tropical flower. Take me to the beach for a sun kiss.

Bellini's Beauty, 20" x 16" oil on canvas, was inspired by my love for Renaissance art in particular Giovanni Bellini's "Lady with a Mirror" painted in 1518. I love her contemplative look and her sumptuous hair covering.

Voyeur, 12" x 16", oil on canvas, was inspired by the blue palette invented in the 18th and 19th centuries. Prussian, Cobalt, French ultramarine and Cerulean were the rage. Van Gogh, Vermeer, Renoir, Picasso and Monet embraced blue.

SOLD -A Heel to Matisse, 16" x 12", oil on canvas, was inspired by Matisse's 1936 "A Nude with a Heel on her Knee". I love the bright colors and expressive nude.
