Tomi Hayes
Tomi lives in San Diego county with her husband and two dogs. As she finished raising two sons, she began taking classes under the direction of several accomplished local artists and was reminded how much she loves creating art.
She enjoys experimenting with many mediums, but Tomi’s favorite is watercolor. “The transparency, fluidity, and glow are so beautiful.” Recently she’s been having fun painting loose abstracts in acrylics.
She has taught art to both children and adults at her Sun Dog Art Studio and has been instructing students at the local middle school art club at the for over four years. “I am always very excited and surprised to see what my young students create!”
Tomi’s art has been exhibited in local juried shows, The San Diego Fair Fine Art Exhibit, The Olde Ramona Gallery, and The Banner Queen Gallery. Her art is in private collections from Virginia to Washington State. “The thought of folks enjoying my art in their homes always makes me smile.”
