ARTIST STATEMENT
My art is informed by a lifelong interest in humanity and each person’s individual story. I am endeavoring to put a face to the faceless and reveal the dignity inherent in mankind. Technically I am interested in using a limited color palette similar to the Spanish artists of the 17th century. The Spanish artist’s philosophical and spiritual/mystical inspiration are also sources for my particular ideas and direction. I am aspiring to reflect their ability to capture the unseen in the seen; the interior in the exterior and the power of pathos to connect us to the present and the past. My art is essentially about relationships whether technically or spiritually.
