Cathryne Loos

Loos is an accomplished oil painter, but she also likes to combine mediums in her search for interesting visual images. She has always been interested in drawing and painting, especially nature.
Loos values education, both as an instructor and as a continual student. Cathryne attended Fontbonne University in St. Louis and earned several degrees: Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (1980). She worked 15 years as a bank examiner/financial analyst for the Federal Reserve System. Following early retirement, Cathryne was accepted into Graduate School, and subsequently earned a Master of Art (2001), and a Master of Fine Arts (2002). Cathryne also earned a Certificate of Proficiency in Digital Fine Art from St. Louis Community College (2008).
Cathryne’s work has been exhibited both locally and internationally: international exhibits include Lyons, France; Tuscany, Italy, and two locations in Taiwan. Solo exhibits in the St. Louis, Missouri, area include the following locations: Missouri Athletic Club in Des Peres and the downtown location, Crave near St. Louis University Campus, Argonne Gallery in Kirkwood, Maryland Heights Community Center, Fitness Together in Clayton, Kirkwood Community Center, and United Missouri Bank in Kirkwood.
