Jane Reed Retrospective Solo Exhibition
Missouri Athletic Club
May 6 - July 31, 2021
Rocky Mountain High, Acrylic, 30" x 36", Jane Reed
B Extraordinaire Gallery is thrilled to announce that Jane Reed will have a three month solo art exhibition taking place from May 6 through July 31, 2021.
The Exhibits will be at both MISSOURI ATHLETIC CLUB locations:
Downtown MAC, 405 Washington Ave, St. Louis, MO. 63102
MAC West, 1777 Des Peres, Town and Country, MO. 63131
Jane Reed will be exhibiting a retrospective of her paintings which include landscapes, expressionist portraits, conceptual works, still lifes, and abstracts. Her early years of being an artist were changed completely by her first visit to the Colorado Rocky Mountains. After falling in love with landscapes, In her travels, she has always used her photos as only jumping-off places, for expressing the essence of the vistas. The artist prefers expressionism in her renderings of portraits, placing the emphasis on emotion.
Although Jane paints in varied schools, and styles of art, she is primarily a Colorist. It is her great love for COLOR, and respect for vivid brush strokes, which informs her work. All are empowered by listening to the "Muse", following the "right brain", with the "left brain" there, keeping composition in check.
Please contact her at [email protected], for any questions or information.
All the paintings on [email protected] will be a part of this exhibit at MAC.

B Extraordinaire Gallery is excited to announce the art exhibition "ReConnect with Nature" will be held at both Missouri Athletic Club locations during February and March of 2021. This exhibition highlights the talented artists at B Extraordinaire Gallery. The artists presenting their artwork: Tom Blood, John Brunner, Kathy Corey, Tomi Hayes, Deb McManus, Maria Ojascastro and Mary Beth Tipton. After the challenges of the last year, 2021 is a time to reshape, restore, and "Reconnect with Nature" and our place in it. Being in nature, living near nature, or even viewing nature in paintings can have positive impacts on our health and well being. Viewing nature produces positive emotions and calms our nervous systems and helps us to cultivate greater happiness, creativity, and resilience. Nature helps us understand we are part of and connected to something bigger than ourselves. Step into the Virtual Gallery Here for a virtual tour of the exhibit. B Extraordinaire Gallery, A Place for Artists to Share Art is an online gallery that provides a platform for local artists to share, inspire, and sell their art and to provide collectors, young or experienced, access to affordable original art. B Extraordinaire artists are committed to making art a part of daily life and strengthening the appreciation of original art in our St. Louis community and beyond. One major benefit B Extraordinaire artists enjoy is our commitment to finding venues throughout the St. Louis metro area where their work can be seen and purchased in addition to being offered for sale via our website. Our "Reconnect with Nature" exhibition, held in conjunction with the MAC, is a perfect example of how our artists as well as the viewing public benefit from this commitment. Our artists are thrilled with the opportunity to show their art "live" at the MAC. We believe those who "Reconnect with Nature" will be equally pleased as well! B Extraordinaire "ReConnect with Nature" Art Exhibition is featured in the Missouri Athletic Club magazine, The Cherry Diamond's February issue. Read it here... |
