Candace Hyams
Growing up In St. Louis, Missouri with both parents being artists and historians, I was exposed to many different artistic outlets. Whether it was photography, ceramics, watercolor, liturgical art, etchings, oil paintings, ,etc. I was exposed to it all. I have always enjoyed and appreciated art in many different forms. My love for the arts is in my blood.
I am married to my husband Chris and we have two boys Charlie and George. My family is everything to me. When I am not with them or playing tennis I am painting. Painting is relaxing, rewarding and is my passion.
I attended Kirkwood High School and graduated with advanced honors in art. I then attended Northwestern State University of Louisiana in Natchitoches, Louisiana, where I dove further into the arts.
I am currently on The Missouri Athletic Club Art Preservation Foundation Board of Directors. I was honored to be the Artist of the Quarter at The Missouri Athletic Club, October – December 2020
My acrylic paintings are classical naturalism with a whimsical flair and my subject matter can range from still life, to a whimsy painting of dog/cat, or a traditional portrait of a person. I most enjoy painting an object with reflections, such as a silver bowl, water on a lake or even an eyeball.
I welcome commissioned work such as pet portraits, wall murals, home portraits, and painted furniture. Each finished piece of my art is signed and sealed with a protective varnish. My original paintings can be ordered in various sizes with framing or without. I offer Giclee’ prints of my original paintings in various sizes as well and can be on rag linen watercolor paper or gallery wrapped canvas. Let me know if I can paint something for you. Gift Certificates Available!
Please Note: the artist, I retain all COPYRIGHTS to my paintings, COPYRIGHT does not transfer with sale of piece of art transpired.
