This painting is based off of a photograph that my daughter took of my oldest son while we were visiting New York over Thanksgiving to spend with my middle son. We were walking across the Brooklyn Bridge when my daughter took the photo. When she showed it to me, I immediately knew I had to turn it into a painting, replacing my son with the man in the bowler hat. Though creating this painting was quite tedious, requiring a lot of detail work, it was fun to see it come together. Any older adult might recognize the title of the painting. Somehow, it seemed quite appropriate and anyone who has ever crossed the Brooklyn Bridge into Manhattan should identify with this painting!
