Louie’s Backyard is my little invitation to slow down and savor a sunny afternoon by the water. The wooden deck beneath your feet, the gentle sway of potted plants, and a big blue umbrella shading the scene—all framed by a sailboat drifting across calm waters under a sky sprinkled with clouds. This painting came alive from a lunch I had at Louie’s Backyard in Key West, where the peaceful vibe practically begged to be captured. It’s a slice of coastal calm that I hope makes you want to pull up a chair and stay awhile.
